This conversation is between Devinder Singh, B.Eng, MBA, and Cr Terrence Winner JP Winner, the CEO, will will be sharing his background and journey in the field of disabilities. Terrance has a wealth of experience in the not-for-profit sector and a deep passion for community engagement and support.
Terrance felt the desire to explore new opportunities and ventured into the private sector, starting his own businesses. Although he gained valuable experience, he discovered that he missed the meaningful connections and community focus of the not-for-profit sector. This realization led him to sell his businesses and transition into consultancy work.
As a consultant, Terrance worked closely with remote communities and local governments to establish outreach programs and improve livability. It was during this time that he identified a gap in his skill set and decided to delve into the HR field, gaining experience in training and employment with contracts. The organisation was undergoing significant changes, having lost its entire executive team and experiencing a major shift in the board’s direction. Terrance saw this as an opportunity to contribute his vision and expertise to bring about positive transformation.
